We’ve been busy welcoming new users and fixing things since launch but now it’s time to bring more cool stuff to the table.
So what’s new?
Better and Faster Connector Suggestions
When you visit a job opportunity, we show you two types of suggestions: possible candidates and “connectors” ( We look at how often they’ve reshared opportunities, what types they’ve reshared, who they know, and the size of their network.) “Connectors” suggestions have a little ‘C’ icon next to them. They are now much better and much faster.
Search contacts by keywords

Sometimes you simply want to quickly search your contacts to reshare a job opportunity based on a keyword. We’ll we’ve started indexing all profiles with a list of 5 000 keywords. It’s still not enough and many programming languages are in there yet. But it’s a nice start and works well for ‘SEO’ as you may see up here.
Email fatigue
We’ve just introduced a new internal metric that keep track of how many messages either from us or from other users a specific user have received. We’ve started using this ‘fatigue’ factor so we we’re less likely to suggest ‘connectors’ who’ve received too many emails recently. Basically, we’re getting smarter in the suggestions we make to keep all of our users happy.
Header Menu
We were not very happy with it so we changed it a bit. Much simpler and descriptive. Discover. Manage. The ‘Filters’ bar at the top of the stream is also much better looking.
HoneyPot: Find jobs in your twitter stream
We like to build stuff and we wanted a new toy. HoneyPot scans your Twitter stream to find jobs tweeted by people you follow. It’s in alpha mode but totally usable. We’ll see if we integrate it with matchFWD.
